How the matching works

You answer seven questions. We turn them into one query against every psychiatrist licensed in your state, score each clinician against your preferences, and return the best three.

What is never relaxed

Licensure in the state where the patient is located. Whether the clinician is taking new patients. Child and adolescent training when the patient is under 18. And anything you pin as a must-have, up to two.

What flexes

Everything else, in a fixed order: how they practise, appointment style, faith, shared background, therapy type, years in practice, gender, language, price, what they treat, treatment type, insurance. We drop the softest first and stop the moment three clinicians remain.

What we tell you

Every preference we had to drop appears on the results page as a chip. Tap one and it comes back as a must-have, and the search re-runs — which may leave you with fewer than three.

Published prices

A clinician cannot publish a profile here without stating a first-visit rate and a follow-up rate. Listings without a rate are unclaimed records from the federal NPI registry, shown separately and labelled as unverified.
